This setup provides the tactile feel of a true half-press shutter function, allowing you to easily distinguish between focusing (half-press) and capturing the shot (full-press).
A shutter grip on a camera housing offers several key advantages for surf photographers. It enables one-handed operation, making it easier to swim and position yourself in the water while keeping the camera steady.
This is especially valuable when tracking fast-moving surfers or navigating challenging wave conditions.
How Deep can it go?
Aluminium shutter Grip is designed for use at depths of up to 8m.
Can I use the shutter grip to start video recording?
This shutter grip is primarily designed for still photography but can also be used for video recording on certain Sony cameras, such as the FX3/30, A7SIII, and A7IV, that have the “Rec w/Shutter” option enabled in the camera menu (refer to your camera manual).
