The Salted Line RX1XX is a hybrid underwater housing for the Sony DSC-RX100 III, IV, V, VI and VII, made for underwater and surf photography. It is built to take the ocean at its roughest — big waves and shore breaks included — and it packs small enough to travel with.
This kit adds a V6 dome port — 6″ or 8″, in acrylic or optical glass — fitted through the V6 extension ring, for wide-angle shooting. The 6″ and 8″ acrylic domes also come as Surf Editions, made without a lens shade to cut drag in big waves.
The 4″ standard flat port comes in the box as well, for everyday shooting.

Connect an external strobe with a fiber-optic cable (purchase here), fired by the camera's built-in flash.
The Sony DSC-RX100 III, IV, V, VI and VII. It is not suitable for the original RX100 or the RX100 II.
The housing is rated to 60 m (195 ft) with the standard flat port. Some ports are rated lower, and they limit the whole set-up: the acrylic domes and the 8″ glass dome are rated to 40 m (130 ft). Each port's depth rating is listed in the specification.
Not on the standard port, which has no 67 mm thread. Use a 67 mm macro port instead: the short port for the RX100 III, IV and V, or the medium port for the RX100 VI and VII.
The power switch, shutter button, mode dial, control ring, flash button, MENU button, zoom lever (and playback zoom), video record button, Fn button, control wheel, centre button, custom/delete button and playback button.
Acrylic ports deliver solid image quality in most scenarios, and they have the advantages of being lighter, more affordable, and easier to repair. Glass dome ports, while offering slightly superior image quality in specific conditions and better scratch resistance, cannot be repaired if scratched.
The 6″ domes deliver excellent image quality in most shooting conditions while being significantly more compact and travel-friendly, making them the preferred choice for many users. While 8″ domes can offer slightly improved edge sharpness, their larger size makes them bulkier and less convenient to transport.
Surf Edition dome ports are made without a lens shade, which keeps drag down when you're shooting in big waves. The standard domes have a shade that protects the dome from knocks.
